Tesla API Functions

Tesla, as you would expect from a very tech-savy company, have enabled lots of interfaces with the car to be used without needing to have physical access to the car directly. These interfaces are accessible via an API, and you can use this website to gain access to this API.

What sort of things does this allow you to do? Well, first of all, you can access many of the controls for the car - just like you can using the proprietary TESLA mobile telephone App. You can sound the horn, open the trunk, flash the lights, etc.

In addition, you can also set up regular 'polling' of the car to 'interrogate' the car's information, such as location, battery charge level, etc. This data is then stored in a database to be displayed and/or downloaded later, if required.
